Available in bags of 250g, 500g or 1kg for home roasting. ROAST BEFORE CONSUMPTION.

Founded in 1998, COCAFELOL is one of the largest first tier organisations for Fairtrade coffee in Honduras grouping over 1500 small-holders. Santa Bárbara and Copán and just two of the seven departments the cooperative cover.

COCAFELOL manages 5 regional wet-mills where producers deliver cherry. Each mill is similarly designed so coffee can be processed consistently at each location before being transported to a centralized dry-mill and prepared for export. COCAFELOL has a fully staffed cupping lab equipped to cup through every lot and ensure consistent quality. Members have access to credit, coffee nurseries and agronomy advice.

Various premiums gained from third party accreditation schemes (including Fairtrade, Organic, Rainforest Alliance and UTZ), have been spent on facilities open to members and the local community. More than 1500 families have benefited through the generation of jobs and development of social projects such as: access to roads, community centers, drinking water projects, school maintenance and police posts.

COCAFELOL and their members are committed to environmental responsibility and have planted more than 1.5 million trees as part of their reforestation initiative. In response to climate change the cooperative members have also diversified to cultivate other crops like cacao and pimienta (black pepper) alongside the coffee.

Coffee is Fairtrade certified, traded, audited and sourced from Fairtrade producers, total 100%. For more visit info.fairtrade.net/sourcing FFLM0071
