Bean Bags - Pyramid Coffee Bags, 100% Biodegradable

Common questions

How do coffee bags work?
Like a teabag for coffee. Drop one in a mug, add hot water, give it three or four minutes and a stir, then lift it out.
How many cups does one bag make?
One good, filter-strength mug per bag.
Do I need a machine or a kettle?
You need hot water and a mug, nothing else. No grinder, no filter, no cafetière. If you can boil water, you can make a proper brew.
Will they work when I'm camping or away?
Yes. As long as you can get hot water, you can make proper coffee anywhere: camping, hotels, the office or the caravan. There is no kit to pack.
How much coffee is in each bag?
A generous 12g of 100% Arabica, where a lot of coffee bags use around 7.5g. That is the difference between a proper cup and a weak one.
What are the bags made of?
A plant-based mesh made from GMO-free corn starch, not oil-based plastic. When you are done, the bag goes in your food waste bin to compost with the grounds, and the cardboard box goes in the paper recycling.
Do they come in decaf?
Yes. Our Swiss Water decaf coffee bags were named a best decaf by BBC Countryfile in 2025, so you can have proper coffee morning or night.
Can I subscribe and save?
Yes. Subscribe & Save 10%, with delivery every 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 weeks. Pause, skip or cancel whenever you like.
Is UK delivery free?
Free UK delivery on orders over £25. We ship from stock we hold here, so it arrives quickly.
How should I store my coffee?
Somewhere cool, dark and airtight, out of the sun. It's at its best in the first few weeks after opening.
